Many opponents of the social web deplore its role in declining mores. But… just look at this video by the Swiss NGO Solidar which creatively parodies George Clooney as a spokesperson for Nespresso.
Notice how the message on YouTube is short, which makes you visit the Solidar website. Where you are offered a wide array of tools to spread their message and make it your own. Well done!
Now, is this just another Social Media Shitstorm. Well, I prefer to focus on the broader message, AND on how easy Solidar makes it for us to share! That is something many “for profit” companies can learn from!
When I started to write this post, there where about 5.000 “emails” to George. Now, barely 30 minutes later, there are already more than 8.000!
